What Do I Need

I had saltwater about 11 years ago and I know the saltwater world has advanced since then. I now have fresh water tanks discus. But I have an extra 55 gallon with nothing in it and I have to HOB aqua tech filters and a heater and of coarse tank and stand. But tell me what I need to start it up as a saltwater instead of fresh water. I know it will need to cycle I don't want to do a reef tank. I had in my last saltwater a lion fish a snowflake eel a cow fish a tomato clown yellow tang. madrian golby,a chocloate chip starfish. I had a seperate 30 gallon and had a octopus in it that lived 3 years and laid eggs but of coarse they didn't hatch. But I want a tank with fish like I use to have. With Coral bottom and maybe some live rock. So what do I need to get this tank started? Thanks so much for any help in advance

Powerheads, Rock, salt, water... I'd probably also get a protein skimmer since the predators you suggest are a little messy. US or UK?

Thanks I have the ph amon nitrites and nitrates test kit.
I have 2 power heads also forgot about all those. I live in the U.S. What protein skimmer do you suggest? Oh and do I need any other testing supplies? Thanks so much
