I know that some of my balloon mollies are pregnant. I have a spare ten gallon and air pump. What else are necessities for a fry tank? Are molly fry small enough to keep in a breeding net? What kind of food or liquid food is best for fry?

Can you tell I've never had fry before?

Ok for startes you need to get it going and cycleing and get a fern of some sort and put in there for hding spots for the fish even though there are nothin to eat them just feed them crushed up flake food, very fine, or get the liqude fry food stuff but good luck with them im thinkin about breeding bollon with a silver Good luck with yours

i didn't do anything special for my fry, i just gave them some crushed flake food. i put in plenty of plants for them to hide in, but still half of them where eaten:(.

hi Auratus,

It's hard to raise molly fry with adults, but a seperate tank would be great :D I feed my fry finely ground flake and frozen brine shrimp. Are you planning filtration for the tank? Is there an underground filter to use with the air pump? You will need a small heater and thermometer too.
