hey guys i had a 20 gallon tank but just 5 hours ago my cousin was playing with this metal bal and he threw it on the tank

the tank shatterd compleatly ......gone
i worked soo hard to get the tank (money wisE)

in my 20 gallon i had 6 beautiful baby oscars now each of them are in plastic cases but what do i do i only have a 10 gallon now and the oscars wont last long in those cases !!! help me out guys!!!

Do you have any friends with spare alredy cycled tanks that would be willing to house them temporarily? Eventually your going to need a new tank: and a 20 gall really is too small. You'll be needing to buy at least a five foot x 2 x2 tank for them. How soon could you replace it? Either with new glass + sealant on a DIY job or just buying a new tank? The actual tank itself is the cheapest part after all.. I assume your heater/filter/ hood is all OK?

wow that sucks!

do you have a local fish shop that could help you out??

can you salvage any water out of the broken tank?

i dont know if theyll take my fish they never buy fish off of you cuz theyre peranoid about bringing new deseases to their stalk.............

Well my advice to you would be to
a. Go to all your lfs's and ask if they can temporarily hold your fish for you, and if they can't you need to
b. Go and buy the biggest tank you can afford and set it up in your home- there's not much you can do really if you don't know anyone who can hold your fish for a bit.

Oscars grow very big and are agressive fish, the 20gal was not gonna be able to hold them for much longer either way- you need to decide now wether you can afford to look after these fish properly or have to rehome them and settle for a smaller and less demanding species of fish- oscars can grow to 13inches+ long and need at least a 55gal for one or 2 :nod: ;

Here is my advice:
The Oscar problem: See if there is anyone near you that has a tank or ask if an lfs can take them for a bit. As for the tank, personally, I'd make my cousin, or if he (or she) was young, have the parents get me a new tank.
