What do you think I should do for my five gallon stocking?

How easy is it to feed ADFs with other fish in the aquarium? I really want to go with Betta and ADFs, the only reason I think it won't be a good idea is because I heard that they are picky eaters and other fish can steal their food.

Thanks.

Personally I'd have the betta and cories, but that's because I love cories :)

My choice would be the Betta with the pygmies. Bettas are elegant and the pygmies are cute. Great combo.

I guess, though, part of my decision is based on that I think ADFs are kind of yucky to look at. My son wanted one and it wasn't until I saw them in person that I said absolutely NOT. Blech.

Whatever you do, I urge you to keep pygmies in groups of at least 6 minumum. They need larger schools than regular cories.

I only have 2 pygmys (originally bought 4 ottos and 2 turned out to be pygmys) they seem fine love swimming through the plants and resting on leaves :D

Thanks, guys. I'd probably already go with the pygmies, but I don't know where to find them. I also think that I will definitely not go with the Dwarf Frogs only. If I couldn't do the Pygmies because they were so hard to find, how easy would it be to feed the Dwarf Frogs with the betta, and would I always have to feed them live food? Would they eat brine shrimp and how much is live food(in US Dollars please)

I had a couple of dwarf frogs in with a betta. I fed them frozen bloodworms with a pipette, hanging it right in fron of their noses. It was a bit of a pain 'cos my tank is tall and deep, but not too bad. Frozen bloodworms should only be a few $ a pack and feeding them a couple every few days means they'd last for aaaages! You could feed them to your betta as a treat too.
One word of warning though, it isn't just you who has a say in this stocking. If your betta doesn't like his tankmates, you'll have to rethink! Mine shredded his tail while the frogs were in there-they're all different.
