7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish?
No
I have had two puffers die over the last week..geenrally they have been healthy and then the next minute notice there is a small mass of fluffy fungus on them. Quickly quaranteened but the mass spreads, body whitens and die within 24 hours. I think this has been brought on by the fact the tank was moved and it was pretty stressful for them. The first puff was a docile male and he had nips on body from the females and believe this is the cause and I didnt get to him in time. The second a female was discovered couple of days later (I do believe part of them dying quickly was due to being separated from the others are these are highly stressed fish). The remaining fish have seemed very healthy and thought it might be over as suspected the last larger female was bully to them but have discovered a dead bumblebee this morning, though there is no whitening of the body and only small amount of fungus from what I can tell as per a normal dead fish.
I did add some melafix in hopes of helping to both quarantee and main tank but have done water change since. Is the worst over or more to come and what could this be? Due to the puffs being pretty shy I am really regretful I didnt spot anything sooner.
