Are black babymollies pure black when young? I have one that is a dull grey colour.

Have you got any other Mollies like a White or Dalmation Molly that she could of bred with?

  Lilfishie

Hey,
Thats like my fry. There a light color to so Im assuming there from my dalmation molly

Usually black Molly babies are pure black when young. It sounds like that fry isn't from the same mother. :)

I only have one female black molly, this baby was probably netted at the same time or she gave birth in the bag??? The baby is definitely a dull black/grey colour. Whitish round the belly. Who knows what it will be? :dunno:

Could be a marble Molly offspring.

My female marble Molly gave birth late last month, and the single fry I saved from the experience is black-bodied, with a big white belly. Not speckled at all like the mother, though I imagine the fry will be eventually. Of course, the color of the belly could be because I'm feeding baby brine shrimp, but the belly was white at birth.

black molly fry will be black for brown assumeing both parents are black mollys. if there is a cross teh fry could be a number of differant colors :D
