Well im getting a 72"x18"x12" (LxHxW) tank and along with my 3 small angelfish and 10 neons and cardinals (not 10 of each). What else could i add? Please dont say guppies and things like that, im looking for something new. I dont want livebarers or other 'normal' or 'everyday' fish. Any suggestions?

What about a pair of rams? The kind of hang out around the bottom, very pretty fish.
Or a peacock eel? I know some say they'll eat smaller fish (ie, neons) but I've heard that if they are well fed there shouldn't be a problem.
For the top I'd go with hatchets or a group of gold panchax killifish.

I'm thinking a bottom dweller and then maybe a top-dweller to round out the tank.
Hope this helps!

black ghost knife fish?
they're really neat fish (both their shape/color and their locomotion)

It wouldnt be able to turn around right, they get like 20" long. Hmm i have had many dwarf cichlids but i like the idea of an eel.

When the angelfish get bigger they will eat the neons/cardinals because they are natural food for them in the wild
