What Can I Keep In A Tank With A Krib

I have a 20 gallon tank set up with 1 krib and 2 neons and 1 guppy.
Im gonna get another couple neons but want to know what else I can keep with the krib.
Ive kept guppys with it for past couple years but now want something different.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can keep with it.

Which Krib do you have. why not get a mate for your Krib but Kribs are ok with most other fish. Why not try some cory's. Strebia being my fav or maybe some panda's. Best to stick to one type though for best results.

You can keep many fish with your krib, but if you're looking for another cichlid then it won't work. A lone krib won't be breeding so it won't be too aggressive. On mistake people make about these fish is that they think they are aggressive, but really they're just territorial and good protectors of there nest.

I wont be adding a mate for him as I dont want him getting aggressive just wanted some info as people say kribs are aggressive especially with fancy fish.

i think that keeping it without a mate is probably the best choice. i'd say that really any non-territorial, non-aggressive fish should be fine. more neons would be good, maybe a trio of platys (i like their red color), or some other smaller tetra/rasbora (harlequin rasboras and green fire tetras would be look nice). i would be hesitant to add anything with big heavy fins (such as a betta) simply because my male likes to bite fins to keep his tankmates under control. i'd also watch out for and avoid known fin-nippers (like skirt tetras) because part of the krib appeal is the beautiful trailing finnage.

freddyk makes an excellent point about kribs being territorial, not aggressive. the only problem occurs when their claimed territory doesn't leave any room for the other fish! mine are ferocious parents, but when separated from their young, they've been quite peaceful.

i keep a male krib with malawi cichlids and they get on fine very interesting fish but if ya got malawis kiss ya neons goodbye
