I have a 40"x18"x12" (LxHxW) tank with 3 small- med angels. What else can i put in there? Im not new to fish i have 5 tanks. I dont want tetras, plecos/catfish/loaches dwarf cichlids or livebares, or anyting like that, i have kept all of them and want something different. Does anyone have any ideas???

Maybe something more unusual?

Any ideas?
thanks

Thanks for replys,
I did have 2 keyholes, they were nice. But i dont want them again, they were good fish, but a bit drab. I think i am expecting a fish that dosent exist. Unusual, med sized, full of colour (color in the US right?) and gets aslong with other fish. I will look into festivums

Thanks,
Im going to sound like a complete pain in the bum, but i have neon dwarf blue rainbow fish.
sorry
Sean

I am sorry, it looks like one of those " well theres no pleasing you then" moments. I have just kept lots of the normal fish and i want something new, if you know what i want. I may set up another tank for some convicts, but still is there anything else???

Thank you guys, for not hateing me, well i hope not

Sean

Can you go Brackish? That opens up some new possibilites. Do some re-arranging of your tanks and have 1 be brackish. Then you can do gobies, puffers, ect. ????

hi there

what about rasboras: scissortail/harlequin/the new ones - galaxy? or cherry barbs or danios - lots of variety, quite cool fish and although your not keen on catfish the synodontis pecolita and cuckoo are really cool, and some cories are really pretty!

or gouramis? dwarfs are cool and very pretty, some larger species are good too although i confess i have only had my tank 8 months so not much of an expert

I'd say set it up as a brackosh tank and have archer fish.
They're not particularly colourful, but they are cool looking, amd if you could get maggots and wait forthem to hatch into flies in the tank, it wold be ace to watch them shoot them down - you'd have to lower the water level and have something for the maggots to hatch out into above the water level.
Or how about choosing the theme for the tank - flowing stream, mangrove swamp, whatever - and basing your fish choice around that?

what about apistogramma agassizzi or cacatuoides?
