i have a tank with
2 pairs of neon gouramis (great colour)
2 Albino Bronze cafish
3 otocinlus
i'm feeding them Tera Min and the odd algae thingy for my ottos.
i want to give them something else, but i dont want to have to feed all the fish seperalty because of time
what would all or most of them like?

Hi Tednol :)

I don't know about the otos, but the other fish would probably enjoy some blackworms or tubifex worms, either live, frozen or freeze dried.

my otos love to go crazy on sliced cubumber.clean it up in minutes.

How do you prepare the cucumber, do you just slice and put it on or do you blanche it first?

My oto's are not touching the green stuff.

I put a piece of zucchinni in for my otto, they love that. No prep just put it around a rock with rubber band to make sure it stays at bottom of tank. And my goldfish love it too. I will be getting an otto for community tank soon and will be doing the same to make sure otto is getting enough to eat if no algae in tank. Algae wafers are good too but my otto is not crazy about them just swims by it and my goldfish eat them instead, lol. So I hand feed my goldfish the algae wafers for a treat once a week.
All you have to do is cut a chunk off of cucumber or zucchinni and make sure it is weighed down.

Cheers

My oto's didn't like the algae wafers either - but they do like the tetra bottom feeder tablets

you can also try some romaine lettuce. My fish go crazy for that, or even dried seaweed which you can buy at your LFS.

I also feed freezedried plankton, meat tablets as well as algae tablets, frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp, and frozen seaweed salad. Just take a trip to your lfs and look for some other types of food. I'm sure you will find something!
