What Can I Feed Them?

i've heard of people feeding their fish veggies?? what can i feed them? and should it be fresh? or canned? how often can/should i do this? any info i would need on introducing veggies into my live bearers diet would be awesome!

Agreed. I've been wondering how to introduce my live bearers to veggies for a while now. I tried feeding them peas once, but they didn't seem to care for them, but I feel I prepared them wrong.

I have fed mine peas several times, just make sure you use frozen peas and remove the case of the pea and break them up into small enough size for the fish to consume. I also put lettuce in my tank, my pleco loves that.

small chunks of cucumber or courgette are a favourite too

I add boiling water to a small amount of frozen peas, then pop the insides of the peas out of the outer casing (after the water has cooled slightly), then cut them up and squish them a bit before adding. The guppies go crazy for them
