I'm going to be growing some artemia NYOS a.k.a sea-monkeys in a 2 liter plastic tank, and was wondering what i should be feeding them -_- . I'm skint so i cant buy any spirulina but i did buy some packets of yeast from tescos, sea-monkey food contains a mixture of spirulina and yeast so i presume the yeast is good for them.
Anyone here grow brine shrimp to adults for one reason or another? If so what did you feed them?
I have some baby triops food which is basically very finely ground flake food, can i use this? And can i just powder regular fish flakes with a mortar and pestle and mix this with the yeast for feeding?
Thanks, for reading and all help is appreciated :).

For reference for others in my situation or just curious, i discovered you can feed them fish flakes, but only if you grind them down into very fine powder and mix it with some water to form a paste.
I made a brine shrimp food by using a mortar and pestle to grind down two parts yeast and one part fish flakes into very very fine powder, when i need to use it i just put some in a syringe and mix it with water from the brine shrimps tank. When you squirt it back into the tank, the water goes cloudy, feed again when the water goes clear :) .
