What Background For Malawi Tank?

what kind of backround on the back of tank is best for malawi cichlids,

what would look best i have sand with purple slate and pink granite??

What makes tank look bigger??

Black backgrounds look good but they absorb light. Although, if you have white substrate, that tends to make up for most of the light thats been absorbed.

I just have rocks going up my back wall.

I Would like a 3d in tank background but for now I have a paper background that looks like a grey underwater rock wall. I used SeaView Gel which sticks the backgorund to the back of the tank to make it clear and bright. Press out the air bubbles and it looks great!!!

black or blue backgrounds i think are nice, or you could be unique and have a bunch of pictures you like and put them on poster board and use that as a back ground, thats what my firends do i think it looks good.

I arranged the rocks in my tank the other day so that they are like a wall at the back of the tank, and it looks A LOT bigger. I would give that a try.
