What Area To Get My Plants From?

I'm currently planning a tank with tiger barbs and cories. I am looking through the plants alive catalogue and want to know what you think I should use.

The options are:

Echinodorus species
or
Asian plants

The tank will be either a:

Fluval roma 200
or a
Juwel vision 260

I'm currently planning a tank with tiger barbs and cories. I am looking through the plants alive catalogue and want to know what you think I should use.

The options are:They are both plant eaters so if you use plants they will be eaten. As such you should consider useing the cheapest you find. Plant the whole aquarium but leave the center unplanted. Let the plants establish theirselves before you add any fish. With a well planted aquarium you may even be able to breed them. Limit the nurmber of fish you add to the tank though. Especially if they breed they'll need the extra space.
