I saw a topic in Tropical chit chat about holliday tanks.
I know our betta people are pretty creative, so I was woundering what yall are going to do for your bettas.
I can't think of anything...I already feed my bettas bloodworms at every meal, so i dunno what to feed them as a "treat."....

aww, I hadn't even thought of that!! I know I'm going to be giving every one in my family one of my babies this Xmas. If Maui and Kula give me some nice babies, they'll definitely be getting a couple cushy Minibow's for Christmas :hey:... it'd be hilarious if some one decked out their tanks with Santa Hat caves and mistletoe, or something!

I was just thinking, we have this "Pet gift swap" on a different pet board I'm at... I think it'd be AWESOME if we could set up a Betta Secret Santa swap ;) I might make a poll later about it.

Brine shrimp?
The stuff I feed my cichlids?
Isn't it a little too big for them...even if you do cut it up?

My bettas are getting a vacation in Miami, FL. They're coming with me! So if you see 10 bettas tanning in South Beach, don't be alarmed, they're with me.

^
Oh, dont worry.
I'm going to be alarmed anyways.
Just dont let your bettas take a swim in the ocean... :D

Too bad we're staying home on Christmas Vaction....
My parents want to go to paris on spring break, I'd rather go to London.... :dunno:
My parent have been to paris, and they loved it, but of course I've never left the country.
Except for Canada, because that doesn't count.... :X

You're thinking of krill? Brine shrimp are the same thing as seamonkeys, very tiny even as adults...

My bettas are getting bloodworm and peas for the holidays, and possibly some 2.5 gallon upgrades, woohoo :D

I guess mine had Christmas in September lol...cas all the guys in 1 gallons got upgraded to 2.5's.

Oh my gosh, I haven't even thought about yule.

How these things creep up on us these days! Went into the post office and they had all hallows eve masks and yule wrapping paper. How weird!

Yule?
I know "hollows eve" but whats yule?
I'm assuming its the winter holliday?

We've been having bad luck. We got the sub zero tempature for a few weeks, but little snow. I hate it.
I'm a downhil skier, and I much prefer real snow, than the "snow" they make in the snow spreaders (Blanking on name)
Do bettas knon when seasons change?

My fish are getting my Boyfriend in January. That's a present all in itself: for being a "non-fish-person," my BF worries his head off about the fish and making them happy. This means they'll all be getting live BBS, new caves, new plants, and probably new shelving which makes room for more fishies!!! :hyper:

Plus, everyone may be getting new brothers and sisters when he comes out. (He isn't good at saying no to me! ) :D

Other than that, they will get a lovely large meal of live bloodworms. Even though they eat it every other day :look: , but they do love it so!
