I bought this plant about a week and half ago, and its grown well, but i dont know what it is?

And also, what are they? They little string bits coming off. I thought they were poo from the pleco at first, but when i tried to pull one off (sounds yuck i know but it had been there over a week) i realised its connected. Im not sure if its roots or shoots.

Your plant is Elodea Densa.

It was extremely fast growing. I haven't seen those roots on my plants but that's because they are behind bogwood, it's probably roots, my Hygrophilia Polysperma has roots like that.

As I said my Elodea went from 20cm to 60cm+ in two weeks. Bog standard tank, 1.5 WPG light, good substrate.

I want your cap.
 
lol thanks. and yeah, it has grown amazingly fast, already its nearly at the top of my tank and its only been in there a short time. it looks good though. thanks for the help
 
That's not fair, my anacharis isn't growing at all :angry:
