My fish are going mad foredging around the gravel LOADS especially the danios
Do you reckon they laid eggs in there and wanna gobble them up? I can't see anything, it's odd

hungry
want to see my cichlids looking through gravel  gets huge go fulls sifts through it then spits it all out all over rocks n plants....wouldnt worry to much...are they active/eating ok?colour all ok

I dunno, they are over active i.m.o.
They've had a good feed today as I added a cube of tubifex as a treat
My otocinclus are calm but grouping which they never do
I'm scared!

Danios, along with some other shoaling type fishes breed a certain way. Unlike most Cichlids, they scatter their eggs, and don't actually "place" them in a specific spot. Instead they whirl around, spilling out eggs and seamen, the eggs end up falling into the gravel, where the fish can't get them, or at least get them easily. It may be possible that your Danios have bred.

Could be I did wonder that
My congo tetra are normally high level dwellers but they are mid-level, but that could be because the danios are all hanging round at the bottom near the gravel and they are 'shoaling' towards them? Oh I hope they're ok!
