What Are These?

Can anyone identify what those brown dots are?? I've never had these in my tank before... its not from the plant itself... I have guppies, so its not from them... pest snails (that appear out of nowhere), assassin smails and neon tetras.... could this be from either the assassins or tetras???

What plant is it? Is it a java fern?

^ lol, that's just what I was going to ask! They do like the spores on a Java fern.

They look like the starts of spore bodies. If that's what it is then new plants start to grow from them.

Oh! It is a java fern. I thought they only procreated (or whatever you call it) by growing those new baby plants on the top of leaves!
