I don't think it's planaria.

my main tactic for keeping them low in number is sucking them out when i siphon my tank they suck out well but have a population boom every week And cant keep them down in number,
most of what you see are young but they do grow about 2/3 cm
any idea what they are and how to remove them?

I don't over feed thats for sure.

thanks in advance and best Regards
Carl

hmmm Weird,
Do you think it could be the Algae wafer after the Catfish eats it cause them to appear?
as I feed Mosquito Larvae to my tetras and they don't leave any!

maybe I will have to start doing a siphon every day of the cat mess

EDIT: I never thought planaria cold get that big.. :$

I never thought planaria cold get that big.
They usually range from around half a centimetre to around two and a half centimetres

I feel stupid :(
although I can't think whats causing them...

Do a good cleaning of the gravel, there may be a a lot of uneaten food in there... that can be enough to trigger an outbreak of planaria. Just don't feed for a few days, your fish will be fine, the tank will be cleaner, and the planaria will start to go away.

I do a big gravel Vac every week,
Im wondering if its the Algae wafers that my catfish passes through....

Don't be daft....The stupid ones are the ones that dont ask the questions.
You have found out something and are wiser than before.
Left over food is the root cause, cut back on your feeding (you are probably feeding too much) and clean the gravel. They will spring up from time to time though.

out of one algae wafer (circular) how much do you think a catfish should have?
as I read they should graze all day so i thought heck I'll give him an entire one and he scoffs the entire thing then makes alot of mess :p
I have no algae in the tank for him to graze on,
only 2x large pieces of bog wood
