What Are These? Larvae?

Hello
HELP!
My tank is a month old.
Last week i discovered athis caterpiller like creature eating my plants!
I removed the plant and took it to the store where they had no idea what it was
I had new plants and today discovered another.
Is it bad? what is it and what will it turn into???

Yeah exactly!
i had about 6 on the plant i removed and hoped that was it but today a new one and seems to leave little green balls on rock. I have tried to vaccum them all up!

they seem to wrap themselves in a leaf until grown to the size you can see, inch and a half to 2 inches

ok, i am know looking like mad!!
i have just noticed 2 clusters of white (eggs) about 10 in eack?
do you think this is eggs from the caterpiller, snails or Fish???
So but new to this business and i dont want anything bad happening

Those are indeed aquatic caterpillars, I've had them before. Harmless though they will eat some plants.

The eggs will just be snail eggs, even more harmless, the snails will just eat organic waste, not live plants .

Do you know if they turn into anything??
I may have to just whip them out and hope they stop munching!
I will keep an eye on the eggs and see what happens.
Any ideas on the little green balls???
