By breed more rapidly, do you mean shorter times between spawns, or pairing up & spawning for the first time?

live or frozen brineshrimp works for my livebearers.might work for other fish

for your cockatoos? Perfect water conditions (ie. very low nitrates, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite), soft water, low pH, high protein diet (live or frozen foods), and water temp at about 78-80 F. This will get them to spawn more often if they are mature. Also, use water that is a little bit cooler (about 2-4 degrees) than the tank water for water changes. This will simulate the "rainy season" and will probably trigger them to spawn. Only for the cockatoos though. GL

"Live Foods" are always the best for bringing pairs/trios into breeding condition. Just be careful of the source.
