What Are Breeding Mops

Breeding Mops are basically peices of wool that are tied to the bottom
of the tank or floating at the top. They are used for egg scatterers who
lay their eggs on the strips of wool.

All you need to make one is to tie peices of wool around a peice of cardboard
( green wool is preferred ). and tie them together and put them in your tank.

As far as I know you can't buy comercial ones.

ive got a pair of golden sanchex and i need a floting one.
does the wool go face down in the water or does it not touch the water
and also how do i tie the pieces of wool to the carbored

it's basically the end of a mop usually on the bottom of the tank for spawning. to lay eggs on and to breed on and stuff.

bascially what the first guy said.

but sometimes they can be floating, i've heard of people have them float or tied to the top too.

so basicaly get some wool tie it 2 carbord with stringand float it with the wool in the water and the
carbord keeping it up and hopefully they will lay eggs on the wool?

what type of wool i thought u meant cotton wool u mean like string wool
plz reply i need 2 make one

you could try java fern. its a plant and would look pleasing do the same job and help with water quality

I think you may have misunderstood what I meant. You don't leave the cardboard in the tank,
this is just by a means of conecting the wool together.

Here is a website that will explain how to make your own Spawning mops.
