What an intresting find....

I was cleaning my tank the other day and I found this!

I have no Idea what it is but it reminds me od like a disease, and it growses me out! Its like...."BAKED" on......weird.....
anyone know what this is? Anyone else had it? Know how to get rid of it?

looks like purple eggs on the heater. Probably some kind of algae. Never seen anything like it imle (in my limitied experience).

Oh...the heater...Well the brown stuff is burn't on limescale- you should realy remove it as if too much gets a hold on the heater it'll cause the heater to overheat. The purple things just look like bubbles on the limescale.

oh'k........so........what if it doesn't like to come off?
The bubles are like.....frozen or something....they dont come off unless I scrape....I'm intrested in knowing what these are, and why their doing what their doing....
