what algae scraper do you use? what're its pros and cons?

i use doc wellfish's green algae scraper for glass tanks.

pros:
easily wipes off brown/green algae
long handle to prevent hand from getting wet

cons:
hard to reach the bottom corners
pad is a bit large for my 10/20 gallon tanks

For the back of my tank I use a long handled scraper with a blue pad, but to be honest I don't find it that easy to use. I find my arm really aches afterwards, but at least I can get right to the bottom of the back glass.

For the sides and front I use a Mag Float - great piece of kit!

Bristlenose plec, they come in two different colors. :good: Why waste perfectly good algae?

I don't use a scraper. They just never seemed to work very well. I do have one of the mag floats but also use one of the algae mitts (a filter pack works too) that I wipe the tank walls with when I do water changes. Both of my tanks also have AEs of some type that keeps them clean.

I use a windscreen scraper made from steel (as used at work!) with a perfectly sharp edge. It's about seven inches wide, so it's quick, too.
