last night my boyfriend and i went to walmart (since it was the only place open at midnight) to buy rotk for my Christmas present...well of course they were all out...and they also didnt have the wire shelves i needed (for more tanks of course! :) )
i was really mad and dragged my man over to the fish section so i could complain and rant over the awful conditions...
well-the conditions were awful as usual...but...

i found the most gorgeous angel that looked just like one of my recently deceased ones-and it looked to be in pretty good health. :) and there wasnt a tag for angels so the guy gave it to me for the price of a guppy!
wheeee!

i also got two gorgeous sailfin mollies, one was a tortiseshell (yes tortiseshell!) with red eyes!

i have never seen such beautiful fish at walmart!

they will all be in quarantine for at least a month though... maybe i can get some pics up tonight :)

Wow a tortoiseshell mollie! And with red eyes! I bet he's quite rare!??? I have two dalmation mollies! You were lucky to get an angel for the price of a guppy! They're usually a bit pricey!

to bad it wasn't a discus for the price of a guppie

Great find Jac, shame you didn't get to have your rant though....

Sounds like your mollies and angel are beautiful! Did you get those pictures up yet?

I would never buy fish from walmart. However, I was in Walmart today fish section was in perfect condition. Tanks clean, fish healthy, no dead fish. I guess they stepped it up for holidays.

They were selling alot of tank set ups, so why have people buy fish elsewhere, right?

Walmart impressed me today, wonder how it will look January 10th
