So, I go in to work tonight and I find out that 3 tanks have been written off due to missing parts, all of the tank were eclipse tanks, a 37gallon show tank that was missing the filter tube, a 12 gallon tank that's missing the bio-wheel, and a 5gallon corner tank that was missing a light tube o_O

No clue why these tanks were written off when they're missing such minimal stuff, but my manager told me that I can have the 12 gallon tank :D I can by the bio-wheel filter from my work for about $4, so I just got a $149.99 tank for about $4 :D :D :D

How's that for a deal?? :)

That would be one expansive 12 gallon aquarium if you didn't get it for free. What kind of aquarium was it? Usually you can get a 50 plus gallon aquarium with some equipment for that price. Good find, you must be lucky.

I'm guessing that it is the eclipse system 12? So what are your plans for stocking?Dizzied you posted it at the same time I did lol, I didn;t just steal my thought from you.

Yup, eclipse 12 system :) Eclipse systems are always bloody expensive, it's because of the bio-wheel filter... I'm thinking of making it either a nano marine tank, possibly a reef set-up (if I can find the lighting sytem that'll fit the tank), or a brackish water tank.

More than likely I'll be putting it at my dad's office on his desk, or some where within his actual office :)

Gotta say though, I really love my job :D not only do I get paid to play with animals, I get to help people whom know minimal information on certain subjects (reptiles, fish etc.) and I get free stuff, or stuff for dirt cheap :D

i have one myself and i love it!!! unfortunately its not in use til i get a new filter for it but they are great little tanks :good:
