Hi all
As you may know my Flag Cichlid is and has been for the last 1 week on her side she can only swim in a corkscerw like fashion
i think she is on for lasts fins
The LFS says its a swimbladder promblem

can you plz help me

If the swim bladder is farily progressed their isn't alot you can do, you will need an anti internal bacteria med and some salt, good luck.

Also keep the water extremely clean--there are some meds for swim bladder but I don't know how effective they are.

Unfortunately, most swim bladder meds aren't very effective, because the medication or medicated food must be ingested. All you can do is keep water clean and hope for the best.

I agree the best med for swim bladder is antibiotics as they are stronger than the uk products on the market, you put them in their food, as if you add them to the water it takes longer, you can get antibiotics from a vet, or use ours but you have to no what you are doing.
