I have an Aqua One AR510. For those unfamiliar with it, it has a built-in hood which houses a wet/dry trickle filter system. A 750L/hr powerhead sits inside the tank. One thing that annoys me (aesthetically) with this setup are the countless miniscule bubbles it creates presumably due to surface agitation. It's like this whether I fill the water to a level where it either falls beneath or over the drip tray where the water filters back into the tank. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this problem? Could my particular substrate contribute to all these bubbles?

If I have to upgrade/change my filter, than so be it! (I've posed a filter enquiry in the planted tank section, as I'm contemplating planting/growing/keeping plants successfully).

Appreciate your replies smile :)

No one?

I went to two LFSs this morning, and noticed all their stocking tanks were clear (even those with trickle filters and airstones inside the tank). One store had two larger tanks like mine, and there were some bubbles apparent, but not alot.
