Hello i have planted a westeria in my tank and it is doing well. It is a nice plant. I was wanting to propagate it and was wondering how.

Anyone got any ideas on this?

Cut anthing and replant it.
If they are happy they can grow a new plat from the smallest part of any leaf.

I just break off a new shoot ans plat that and they grow.

A leaf left floating on the top will also grow into a ffloating version of the plant.
They will also from above water given a chance as well.

My favorite plant...due to it's versaility. You can float it, root it, or attach it. I'll never have to buy any again. I merely clip of a piece, and that peice will grow rather quickly. You can fill your whole tank with it. I started planting it into the gravel, and those plants have remained. When pruning it, I stuck a stem of a small 'brack' into a groove in my driftwood. It grow so large it was pusching against the front glass of my aquarium, and I had to replant it. The center back was of my aquarium was rather blank, except for a piece of red slate slightly leaning agaisnt the back of my tank. I took three seperate pieces of wisteria, tucked them behind the clate, not three plants are blloming in the back of my tank.

My lighting aint as good as it can be at the moment and it is growing really nicely. I thought it might struggle with the lack of light. I have got X4 T8 bulbs in there at the moment. Cant wait to fit my T6's and watch it grow.

I have a Wisteria that needs trimming soon, it's growing very flourishing leaves. I'm glad I saw helter's post, I was unaware that you could float some of the trimmed leaves and that they would develop into more of a floating plant style (something I've been looking to add to my tank anyways). Thanks for the info!
