:D So I had a dentist appt. and it was near the walmart that has a fish section. I was surprised not to see ANY bettas at all. That is the main reason why I went there to pick up another 1-2 gallon tank and a male betta. I bought this little 1 gallon bowfront tank but my female betta is in it for now.

I was surprised as I only saw 2 dead fish and most of the fish looked decent. No rotting fins, bite marks, ich, or anything! The water was also clean. I was expecting to walk in and raise hell, but surprisingly everything seemed fine. I picked up 3 von rio tetras and my brother got 2 cories. I still don't know what kind one of his cories is. It has like a metalic silver body with dark black spots everywhere. He is REALLY pretty.

Now I transferred the 1 inch molly fry to the 120 gallon and the newborn fry in my 120 gallon in a breeding net. I swear I am calling one of those babies Houdini. There are NO holes in the net and the water level is slightly lowered so they can't just swim out the top of the net....but for some reason everytime I look in the breeding net only 2 out of 3 are there! The same one keeps excaping and I don't know how. Maybe he jumps. :hyper: :dunno:

Anyway, he better stay in that breeding net or he will get eaten for sure! I also received my 12 female betta's from wuvmybetta and they are GORGEOUS! I will eventually take some pics once they settle in and get used to the tank.

But all in all, Walmart's fish dept. was pretty clean. Despite them having almost everything labeled wrong. :dunno: But everything was pretty good.

His siblings probably don't like him so the collectively hurl him out.

The Walmarts in my area ( 3 of them ) all have great fish sections with a good selection and clean tanks... I was amazed the first time I saw it...I remember years ago walking into the big stores and seeing the worst fish and tanks in the world...glad to see they cleaned up there act..

:D
