Okay, so i'm an impulse buyer with no self control. Why else would I have 14 tanks??? Anyhoo, popped into the LFS quickly at lunch time to get some frozen daphnia for my little bumblebee gobies, and I see a gorgeous betta. Someone else is looking at it too - "NOOOOOOOOO... he's mine!!!!" So stranger walks off giving me very concerned look and one fishie gets bagged up!!! Whilst they is baggin' him, I have a look round the other fishies. Uh-oh. Gorgeous 'ancistrus sp' plec.... deep, deep chocolate brown with little cream spots all over. Hmmmmm. Apparently only gets to 4 or 5 inches. Okey dokey. That leads my eye over to the L200 lemon spotted green plec, which I've been thinking about for 2 weeks, but being good. Betta is a fiver, ancistrus is twenty, what's another thirty quid amongst fishy friends??? So got the lemon spotted too!! Really didn't want to pay my phone bill this month anyway!! So, now I'm skint, and a bit damp from all the dripping water into bags, but very happy! Pics of new babies:
Ancistrus - Midnite - in bag
betta - Peaches -in bag
L200 - Julep - in bag
Midnite in quarantine - Julep wouldn't pose and hid straight away - he's a wuss seeing as he's double the size of everything else in there
Peaches is really shimmery - doesn't show up well in the photo. Sorry about all the water marks!!
Plus, one of the 3 zebra nerites I got last week.... so cool. Even their 'feet' are stripy
Plus the furball, cos she was screaming: take a pic of me too Mummy.....
Hope you like! Any advice on the plecs would be cool, I've only ever kept bulldog plecs before.
