Worse, you need a RO unit with a booster pump. There is more harmful crap in a well water system than in tap water. You may be lucky if your source is good, but most well water is extremely hard. Test a sample with a tds meter to determine how good it is. For a reference my tap water (county water supply) tests 270-320ppm and my parents water from a well (they live a mile and a half away) tests at 460-510ppm.

Well water is oke to use, as long as you run it thru a RO filter, the good thing here is that your well water is free, so it doesn't really matter how much water you are wasting to get a gallon of clean water. You will need a booster pump to get it into your RO unit though.
