The 13 convicts i was worried about are all doing fine.

first few days were a bit bumpy but now my oscar and severum all get along fine with them.

theres even 2 pairs guarding what im guessing must be there nest and at first they were pretty aggressive as expected but after a few hours theyve settled down and only really go for someone if they try stick there nose in.

the question tho, do they keep guarding nests after there spawn has failed cos theyve been at it for about 5 days now and theres no sign of any wigglers?

cant even see any eggs in one of the more open nests but they still seem to be fanning or doing something.

is it normal?

They will stay in that area until fry have hatched, they are "setting" up there nest, and waiting for the time to be right, and once this is all setup then they will breed like wildfire ;)
