thinking of adding 3-4 4" or so peices of rainbow rock covered with riccia(when i find a place to order) in the middle to cover up the base of other plants. Once i get some nice vals I will probably remove or find another place for onion bulb and other middle plant(not sure what it is, the scrunchy leaved plant). The plant in the middle of of the onion bulb and scrunchy leaved plant i will move in front of the riccia rocks. going to make a glosso cover for the front on the rocks and micro sword on left by the wood. Plan on putting black background on this weekend to cover the back. Do you all see any other inprovements that might help?

What's the color of the rainbow rock? I guess the color wouldn't matter if it's completely covered in riccia. But if you plan on having some of the rock show through, then go for a natural 'muted' color. I've seen ones that are of a reddish tinge --- doesn't really look natural on a heavily planted tank.

And opt for taller ones since you have a tall tank. You've got a lot of 'space' to visually fill

Your plan sounds good so far, I'd like to see a photo when it's done :) I'm assuming you're lining the rear of the tank with vals?

yes lining the back middle with vals. I like my two large plants on the left and right so they are staying put. I will be getting large vals 24" ones to reach top for fish to swim through and have fun. The rock is a purple color. dont know if its more red when in water or not. My lfs gets some plants in on friday so saturday hopefully i can go shopping. If not im going to just make them order the stuff i want.

Cool

You might find making the glosso carpet properly a bit of a challenge. You have quite a tall tank, your light will be marginally lessened by the time it reaches the bottom. But if you have a high wpg, then I guess that won't be a problem :)

well i have 2x65w w/ reflector, if i have too i can add a 35w pretty cheap as well
