I just noticed that there is a white patch of something on my female. It's inbetween the eye and the gill on her right side.
You know how it looks when your skin starts to peel after getting a tan or a sunburn? That's what it looks like on her.
Not that HER scales are coming off.. that's just what the white patch looks like.
She won't stay still long enough for me to get a really good view of her, but I think I see a little bit of white near her mouth and on the same side as the patch, there's a small little white thing stuck to her pectoral fin.

I did notice yesterday that she kept swimming under one of her plants very near the gravel. She was also doing it again today when I woke up. Thinking back now.. and seeing the spot on her.. she could've been scratching herself on the gravel.
I didn't notice any white patches though.. I'm pretty sure she didn't have this yesterday.

I don't have an extra tank to place her in as the Q/H tank is being occupies atm... so whatever treatment will need to be done to the whole tank.
Medication I have...
Fungus Clear tablets says it clears fungus and bacteria
Maracyn 1 & 2
Tetracycline
Melafix (don't want to use this though)...
Quick Cure... says it cures parasite infestation

Woops.. forgot to add the pics I took...
I circled the areas

After seeing some pics of a fungal infection... I think that's what I'm dealing with.
I put in half a teaspoon of aquarium salt.. probably not enough, but didn't want to put in too much.
I'm still waiting for some replies just to be sure this is what I'm dealing with before I medicate.

EDIT: I medicated with the fungus tablet.... I didn't want to wait longer before this goes untreated.
If someone thinks this isn't fungal then pls do tell.. and if anyone has any advice on what else I could do then share share :)

Bleh.. the tablet made the water green :X

Yeah I had those tablets before too and they made my water green. My suggestion would be to try using the maracyn next if the tablets don't work. But those should do the trick. Hopefully he turns out fine soon! :good:

:fish:

AS suggested by Wilder in the emergency section... it might also be bacterial.
I'm gonna wait and see though.
If it looks worse tomorrow I'm gonna do a big water change and start with bacterial med.
