Weird Reading During Cycling..

I thought that when you got a nitrite spike during cycling, that it would actuallt 'spike'!

I checked this afternoon and i had ammonia 4ppm and nitrite 0.25ppm. im about 6 days into my cycle, but ive had some mix ups (eg. fungus on driftwood which i had to do a 150 Litre water change). But its all good.

So why do i have low nitrites?
