Weird Orange Bugs In Tank?

This is the best photo i can get of them. They are little orange things with legs that are only on the surface of the water , that jump about on top of the water any ideas of what they are and are they are harmful. where did they come from??

its the little orange bit in both pictures, there are a few of thes jumping about!
what could it be????

the only thing ive done is float a plastic tub on top of the tank with a spawning mop in it with eggs! these things are on top of this water too!

you can see it in second pic!
 
Did a search and you can get orange water mites.
 
Been reading most of it went over my head but fish don't eat them.
But the article didn't tell you how to get rid of them.
Do a search on orange water mites to see it its fits the description of the bugs in your tank.
Heard of house mites getting into fish tanks.
 
had a look wilder but it says they swim under water on plants etc but these are all jumping about on the surface of the water!

On another thread in the emergency section of the forum you said you was treating your tank for finrot.
What other fish are in the tank.
 
What med are you using for the finrot?
