Weird Growth On Plant

hey ive just started to add plants to my tank but my java fern has started to sprout roots out of the leaves and was wondering what this is and why advice please .

Thats just how they reproduce, soon you will se little rhizomes & leaves forming.
ONce it has a couple of leaves and a decent sized rhzome you can pul them off, or wait and eventally they will just fall off.
