Weird Catfish

i was just wondering if you guys have ever seen a catfish that swims upside down, is pitch black and has a really long extended "sword" like a stringy sword resembling a swordtail. I saw this kind of fish at the petstore without a label and at first i thought it was a black shark...i looked closer and i'm almost certain it was a catfish of some sort with all the "whiskers" and stuff coming off of the face. i just really want to know what it is since i checked the fish index and saw nothing like it.

mystus leucophasis ot the asian upside down catfish they grow around 12" long are highly predatory and can eat bigger fish than u would ever think possible

IMO a truly beautiful fish and if i ever see another for a reasonable price im having it

YES! that is it!! this fish is incredible!! i wish i could have one but seeing as i only have a 30 gallon, i can't! they have it in a 95 gallon in the petstore priced as seen for $1,000 which is a pretty good buy i suppose considering it comes with a filter, fish, decorations and the stand and such. thanks for the pic tho!

yea they do need a huge tank id day bare minimum of at 4x2x2 but a 6x2x2 is far better and as i said u would be amazed what they can actually fit in those mouths
