I bought some plants this afternoon at my local fish shop they all came attached to weights which I have buried along with the plant roots, Will they have any affect on the water quality ?

Hi Alan,

The weights should be perfectly harmless (Can you describe them to be sure?) - However I believe its recomended that you plant without them as they can restrict growth at the base ofthe plant..

What plants did they come on? Have you got sand or gravel at the bottom of your tank ?

Regards,

Craig

you might find with the vallis that there is actually more than 1 plant in there, take the strip off and have a look.
