Watts Per Gallon...?

so i totally used to know how watts per gallon works. but since its been some time since ive had an aquarium... how does it work?

i have a 10g with 2 25w bulbs in it.

2*25/10=... watts per US gallon

I prefer to use 1-2 wpg for most planted tanks.
