Water Test Reults

Hi im a bit confused, I have just tested my water and have these results
Nitrite 0.3
Nitrate 20
Ammonia 0.6
Phosphate5.0
Now before I tested the Phosphate I thought I was doing well, But that high result has thrown me.
can anyone advise please

Is your tank cycling? The Ammonia and nitrite readings are the ones you should be concerned about, particularly if you have fish in the tank. The presence of nitrite means that you have the bacteria to break down the Ammonia, so things are headed in the right direction.

As for the phosphate reading, I personally wouldn`t worry too much about it. Some peoples` tap water has a higher reading than five.
