Water Test Results

Hi,newbie in need of some advice

I have been fishless cycleing my 64 litre tank now for just over 2 weeks and have been dosing with ammonia to keep it at 4ppm.

It seems the ammonia is now being processed in roughly 12 hours , my results this morning are

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 1.0
Nitrate 40

My nitrite's havent moved from 1.0 for a few days now, should i carry on adding ammonia ?

The forum method is to continue dosing ammonia to 4ppm each time it falls to zero. Your nitrite will go off the scale of your test kit and won't drop for about another 3 to 4 weeks (approximately).
