I've got a 55g tank 12"x12"x4' (estimate) mounted in the wall and now my fish are covered with ich. Got two 2.5" oscars, a clawed frog 2.5" and a pleco 2" in the tank. One of the oscars is going to a new home when he is better.
I've been treating, water temp up to 80-82 and did around a 25% water change on day three of treatement and last night again on day 5. REmoved the filter and tried not to do anything in the tank to stress the fish anymore than needed.
Meds being used: made by SERA, called Costapur and I followed the directions to the tee......
Water tests gave me these results:
Low PH 7.4
High PH 7.7 -7.8
KH 30mg/l
GH 40mg/l
nitrite 01-03
amonia 0-0.6 (on the lower scale but not 0)
I'm starting to get stressed...what do I do? I've been reading on this site and I'm starting to go cross eyed.....
I've got another small tank that I could move the oscars into and have a smaller amount of water to treat...is this a good idea? I could at the same time tear down the 55g and clean everything.
SORRY I WANTED TO POST THIS IN THE EMERGENCY SECTION....
