I am looking to get some Water smartweed (Persicaria Amphibian) for the koi pond however the RHS explains that the plant has spikes. Are these spikes something that koi could injure themselves on?
Would be interesting to hear from someone who has experience with this plant as to how appropriate it is to put alongside koi.
If this is not suitable, I am looking for a good alternative submerged plant that has a 1-1.5m spread at the surface.
