Ok now my betta is not lookin too perky, he is laying on the bottom alot not all the time, is this normal behaviour for bettas? And here are my water readings if any one can ok these for me 5 in 1 tetra test kit

NO3 - 10, (nearing 25)
NO2 - 0,
GH - 16, (ON ALL THREE)
KH - 6d
ph - 7.6

:S So i think these are ok can someone confirm, i have a 128litre set up a few days ago i put all the media from my original tank into ths new one!

But with the betta he does not show any signs of diseases, as i said just a bit on the dosiel side if thats what you call it! :/

Your water stats are fine, maybe just abit of stress due to the move, just keep an eye on the fish good luck.

80 sounds fine if that's what you had it in the other tank.

maybe hes exhausted. Bettas go all out to defend a territory and the bigger the tank the more he has to work to defend it. But saying that he may be bored as well. Have you tried using a mirror to see if he will flare? That usually gives them something to focus on, but only do it for a couple of minutes a few times a week. Maybe for your guy he might appreciate a smaller tank. Is the current strong? just another thought.
Bettas like high temps and maybe around 80f is best for them. Hope some of that helped.

well i have just looked and he seems to be ok now must have been me being paranoid, he doesnt seem to be teratorial, when i first put him in he flared at the clown loaches but now doesnt really notice them ,he often swims with the other fish, which makes me feel a bit guilty like he is lonely  Could this be the case? Oh and gave peas for the first time today they loved it :D

I'd get another test kit pronto. Liquid preferably. I had those tetra 5 in one things and IME they are rubbish. Funnily enough, nowhere on the packaging does it say accurate... They don't test ammonia either. I'd go and get an ammonia test kit and a nitrite one. Those are most important. Oh, he won't be lonely. You can't put them with any other bettas. Not even female.

:( Really what one do you suggest i get? I will go tomorrow how do you use the liquid ones then?
So do i need seperate ones is there not an all in one which is any good?

Nutrafin or tetra, liquid ones are the best for accuracy and they are easy to follow the instructions.

See if you can find one of the master test kits. I have one made by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals. They run about $25 at Petsmart and test ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and high pH. That's cheaper than buying them seperately. Depending on your tap pH, you may not need the regular or high pH kit. I never use the high pH kit since I have slightly acidic, soft water.
