Water Louse

I bought some snails off ebay for my pufferfish. They came in a tub with a big ball of algae. There was also a few other critters, such as water flea and water louse. Looks like its straight out of someone's pond.

What procedures can I go through to try and make sure that I do not introduce any parasites or diseases to my tanks when I use pond critter to feed the puffer or goldfish?

The water louse looks like a good food for the pufferfish, they are pretty quick. Any reasons why I shouldn't feed the louse to the pufferfish?

the louse are to small and are pretty much nothing to the puffers. Get the snails out and give them a rinse in some dechlorinated water then put them in the puffer tank.

The water louse should be fine in the tank as i put Mozzie larva in my tank and the fish love it besides it will be good enrichment and d exercise for your puffer

when you say water louse are you refering to Argulus?

they will be fine but they have pretty much no nutrition as they are so small.
