the water in my fish tank seems to be untransparent.. its a 75 gallon tank and i cant see from one long side through tot he other. the water seems to be so thick.. i recently changed 40 percent of the water but its still so stick and i have no clue why... anybody have any idea why that is? please help!

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your water trouble. Is this a new tank or have you just added new fish? If so, search the forum and read up on the Nitrogen cycle and cycling a tank. Also try the search feature and use "cloudy water" as your search. Sorry I can't help more. If anyone here is going to be able to offer help I am sure they will need to know more about your setup. Like how long it has been running, what type of filter, what type and how many fish, what temperature and any water test readings you may have done.
Good luck.

itzme has made some good points. When asking question such as this it's worth putting as much detail about the setup as possible. Youm might want to put these details in your signature to save having to type it everytime.

Anyway back to the tank!

Check if your pump has carbon in it. While used to remove meds from a tank it also clears water a treat. If your filter has it you might want to renew it. If it doesn't maybe a pump upgrade would be a good idea.

Keep up your water changes too.

if you have just setup this tank, it is normal as there is a bacteria bloom. this will last 3-4 days and will clear by itself.

I'm not exactly sure why this happens, it just does. just wait it out

if your tank is mature, then there might be something wrong
