Water In Maryland Is Poisonous, Dont Drink

Yet again, I did a water change and all my fish in another tank died. There is something in marylands water. And yet again as soon as the water was added, I could see planaria and large flatworms everywhere in it. MY f****** tap water has worms in it. I am sueing the water company.

I AGREE like wtf tap water is that? like he said get media involved,, they eat that stuff up... a TINY community near me was put on a water boil alert recently for 3 days and i was travelling a 5 hour (3 diff radio stations) drive and heard about it everywheres even though i doubt the people at the third station even knew where the community was

Are you in one of the areas that was hit by the flooding ? I know my mate living in Lincoln was cut off for 2 weeks !! He did a water change straight away when the water came back on, but several of his fish died, he thought maybe it was all the muck getting into the pipes etc.

I live in maryland and my fish are still kicking.. what part of county do you live in? Can't be worse than Prince Georges.

I live in Westminster. I think we draw from aquifers underground. So something could have soaked through and poisoned the water for the fish. I have just purchased an 85 gpd Reverse Osmosis unit which should take care of this.

I've lived in Maryland for about 10 years now, and I've never had a problem with my fish, however, we do get our water out of a well. I would definitely alert the water company if you're having these problems. Have you tested your water straight out of the tap, or had a water analysis done? That might be helpful to see exactly what the problem is.
