Just started a planted tank but I don't feel that the "plant food" I have gets into all my plants that well, is there any other way to get it in closed to the roots. Hope that made sense xD

Cheers

what makes you think that your plants aren't getting the food?

In a planted tank, plants would rather take from the column as they will use less energy doing it this way. Flow is important to ensure the nutrients are delivered all over the tank.

Ok so next dumb question is, what EXACTLY is the water column. The current of water in the tank?

Cheers

the water column is the 'water' in the tank, it's the whole of the water from substrate to surface.
